Characters & Costumes

In the opening scenes there will be only 2 characters, one of them shall be a girl; who is the assumed protagonist and the other a boy; who is the assumed antagonist.

The girl will be wearing casual clothes, which are mainly white, but with a bit of red on the clothes, to suggest danger. The girl should be wearing a hoodie, that covers her eyes and maybe the majority of her face. This will suggest that although she is "good" she has something to hide.

The boy will also be wearing casual clothes, which will be mainly black, grey and other drab colours, but maybe with some purple to suggest mystery. The casual clothes shouldn't conceal his face, to suggest that maybe he isn't "bad".

Target Audience

As our Thriller is more in the action genre, I think that our target audience will be 14-18 year olds, and will be mainly male, but this is not restricted and we will be attempting to get a full range, but mainly teenage/early twenties young’uns will like all the violence in it. Our target audience will be people who are generally going to be people who go for action movies, and often go to the cinema to watch those types of movies and will be more interested than older people who generally work a lot and might prefer something more intellectual and mentally stimulating over action. Our audience will be very social, and will enjoy talking about ‘the latest thing’, which we hope could be our film. For Thrillers, our audience much prefers something easy to watch, full of action that they can find exciting and wish they were part of it.

The final idea

There are diagrams to accompany this, which shall be uploaded as soon as possible :)

The scene starts off with an over the shoulder shot of a teenage girl typing on a computer, the camera then follows her into the kitchen. On the way into the kitchen the audience will see a man in the living room doorway, but the girl does not. In the kitchen the girl calls someone, or is rung by someone. Whilst on the phone she ducks down to get something from the fridge, she then pops back up to the counter and reaches for the papers, so she can read some to the person on the phone, this is when she notices the man. We then go to a worms eye view of her feet as we hear a gunshot and see everything fall to the floor, accompanied by a scream. The worms eye view of the things falling will be slowed down. after the papers etc. have settled we will fade to black and display the title, which will be thought of soon :)
